ALEX Allergy Test
This advanced blood test called ALEX covers 295 allergenic components from food and airborne allergens – nearly triple the number tested in traditional component tests. It provides comprehensive allergy screening in a single test, using innovative microarray technology for precise IgE detection.
The test can be performed from either a finger prick or venous blood sample (taken by our nurse in the laboratory).
Test coverage includes:
-
Airborne allergens: Pollens (grass, birch, ragweed), dust mites, animal dander (cat, dog, horse), molds
-
Food allergens: Nuts (peanut, hazelnut, walnut), milk, egg, wheat, soy, seafood, fruits and vegetables
-
Insect venoms: Bee, wasp
-
Latex and other less common allergens
